Sonnet 1

Aphrodite to men and women said,
"Behold a bridge between the groom and bride."
She told in great detail each stone that led
The bravest lovers to the other side.

A man inquired, "Reveal to us the stone
That holds this bridge aloft, for Cupid's sake."
"Young man, it's held up by no rock alone
but by the arch of line the stones all make."

"Then tell us of the arc these stones create."
"The arc is naught without each stone, you see?"
Vast distances will always be too great
For anyone who disregards this key:

The architect of love cares only for
This present moment, making ever more.
